Family & Relationships

Should you actually leave your marriage?

Talk it through privately with a relationship counsellor or experienced professional — an honest, unbiased sounding board your friends and family can't be.

One-hour session · $120–250

Why reading about it only gets you so far

The hardest part isn't only the decision — it's that you can't safely think out loud. Tell a friend and they take sides; tell family and it's never forgotten; say nothing and it eats you alive.

Articles and quizzes reduce the most complex decision of your life to a checklist, and everyone who knows you both has an agenda.

A private hour with an experienced professional who works with people at exactly this crossroads — and can speak honestly about what staying and leaving each involve — gives you the one thing you can't get anywhere else: an unbiased place to think, with someone who won't judge you whichever way you lean.

Common questions

Is this couples counselling?

No — it's a private, professional conversation to help you think, not a therapy program. If you decide you want counselling or legal advice, a registered therapist or family lawyer is the right next step, and you'll be clearer about what you actually need.

Will they tell me what to do?

No — and that's the point. Anyone who tells you whether to leave your marriage after an hour is doing it wrong. They'll help you think it through honestly, without the agenda everyone who knows you both has.

Is it confidential?

Completely — which is exactly why people use it. It's the one place you can be fully honest without it getting back to your partner, your family or your friends.
